Our Wedding Recap (Finally)
The deal is sealed. I am now officially Mrs. Williams! I’m long overdue on writing this, but I was waiting on my pictures to be honest, LOL. So here it is:
Clark and I live in Atlanta, so when we started planning we agreed we wanted to change things up and do a destination wedding since the weather in December isn’t great. We had done a lot of traveling through the years but we go to Miami every year and it was the first place we ever traveled together. We love the food, nightlife and culture of Miami, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to host our family and friends. The planning process was relatively short, 10 months, so I was on go-mode from the time we got back from our engagement trip. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
The Big Day
December 16th was an amazing day. It is funny how people give you so much advice prior to your wedding day, like to eat enough beforehand because you won’t have a chance to take a bite of your meal, to be prepared for at least three things to go wrong during the day because it is bound to happen and to just laugh as they come and to relish in the moment because it will be over before you know it and yes, all of the above came true. I realized everyone knew exactly what they were talking about! I wish that day could have lasted all week.
We were surrounded by 70 of our closest friends and family, in beautiful Miami, Florida. The weather that day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was in the 70’s. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
